Dr. Shouri Lahiri is a physician-scientist and critical care neurologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where he serves as Director of Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, Director of Neuroscience Critical Care Research, and Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Biomedical Sciences.

The Lahiri Laboratory focuses on the study of delirium using animal models that simulate structural and functional phenotypes of the condition. Recent work from Dr. Lahiri's laboratory has demonstrated a key pathological role for IL-6 in mediating delirium-like phenotypes in acute lung injury and urinary tract infection while prior work from Dr. Lahiri's laboratory has linked acute critical care interventions with long-term cognitive decline by demonstrating acceleration of Alzheimer's disease neuropathology after short-term mechanical ventilation. Dr. Lahiri has received research support from the National Institute of Health, American Academy of Neurology, and Widjaja Foundation.
