Dr. Jennifer Woodward is a geriatrician with Atrium Health Senior Care and is the Associate Program Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship in Charlotte, NC. She completed medical school at MUSC in Charleston, SC, family medicine residency at MAHEC in Asheville, NC, and her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Northwestern University, in Chicago, IL. In 2017, Dr. Woodward joined Atrium Health Senior Care, where she does outpatient consultative Geriatric Assessment and Memory Clinic and inpatient Geriatric Consults. She is heavily involved in research within the Geriatrics department and has received a Duke Endowment Grant to start a virtual Geriatric Consultative Clinic embedded in PCP practices in rural areas to provide memory care to underserved seniors. She is also involved in several research projects across the Atrium Health system targeting delirium prevention, including creation of the inpatient delirium PowerPlan. In 2020, she was a finalist for the Atrium Health Teal Acorn Innovator of the Year Award. Her research interests include dementia, delirium, and polypharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 French bulldogs, watching Panthers Football, traveling, and is an avid theatergoer!
