Dr. Sophia Wang received her MD and general psychiatry residency from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She did her geriatric psychiatry fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. She also pursued Howard Hughes Medical Student Research Fellowship and VA Neurosciences Fellowship at the James J. Peters VAMC. Currently, Dr. Wang serves as the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core Leader in the NIA designated Indiana Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. She is the principal investigator for the NIA-funded K23 Career Development Award focused on the ICU delirium and Alzheimer’s disease, and the NIA-funded R21 examining mechanisms underlying COVID-19 delirium and Alzheimer’s dementia.
