Dr. Sandeep Pagali is a geriatric hospitalist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He completed his geriatric fellowship at Mayo Clinic in 2014. He is involved in the medical education of residents, geriatric, and hospital medicine fellows. He is an active member of the American Geriatrics Society and serves in the Clinical Practice and Competency Committee, a member of AMDA, where he serves as the education committee member and Transitions of care sub-committee member. He is also a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and serves in the MN chapter leadership team and the Society of Hospital Medicine Quality Improvement executive leadership team. He is passionate about Delirium and efforts to predict and timely mitigate delirium risk in hospitalized older adults. He developed and validated a Mayo Delirium prediction tool, that risk stratifies hospitalized patients using EMR-based risk factors on admission. He leads the delirium QI project at Mayo clinic which is being planned for implementation across the Mayo Clinic enterprise.
