Min Ji Kwak

MD, MS, DrPH

Dr. Min Ji Kwak is a geriatrician and clinical investigator at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, McGovern Medical School. She received M.D from Ewha Womans University, South Korea, a Master in Science from Seoul National University, South Korea, and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She completed internal medicine and geriatric medicine training at the University of Texas Health Science Center McGovern Medical School.
As a physician-scientist, apart from the health service research in geriatric cardiology, her clinical practice is focused on geriatric co-management with the cardiology team in the Heart and Vascular Institutes at the Memorial Hermann Hospital. Particularly, she has been leading Age-Friendly Health System initiatives at the Memorial Hermann Hospital with the assistance of the University of Texas Consortium on Aging. Her work for Age-Friendly Health System has been presented several times during nationwide webinars and regional conferences. Now, she serves as a faculty at the Institution of Healthcare Improvement to provide coaching and guidance for other healthcare providers in Age-Friendly Health System initiatives.
