Jeanne Kessler is a registered nurse who has worked in long term care, in geriatric psychiatry, and in nursing education. She is an education specialist with the Center for Simulation, Education and Innovation (CESI) at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford CT and provides simulation education for nursing staff at 3 skilled nursing care facilities. She is board certified in Gerontological nursing and has her Master’s degree in nursing education from the University of Hartford. She has always had a passion for providing quality care for the elderly living with dementia and psychiatric conditions. She has developed educational programs for children and teens to learn about dementia and has pioneered community projects that encourage intergenerational relationships between young people and older adults living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
