Dr. DiPerna has been a physical therapist for 17 years practicing in the acute care and outpatient settings. She began her career at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2005 and has been at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis since 2007. Christy has been a clinical cardiovascular and pulmonary specialist since 2013 and has focused her career on the treatment of patients with end stage heart and lung disease. She was adjunct faculty at Indiana University’s physical therapy school for five years giving lectures on critical care and early mobility in the ICU. Dr. DiPerna’s research interests include the impact of frailty on transplant and LVAD outcomes and factors that predict functional outcomes in lung and heart transplant recipients.
