Carmen Goudeau

DNP, MS, BSN-RN

Carmen brings 11 years of caring experience to the nursing profession from a clinical,
educational and coordinator perspective. She has a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice, a
Master’s degree in Science with Biology focus, and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Science and
Medical Sciences. She devoted the majority of her nursing journey to critical care and
progressive care with neuro stroke focus. Her doctoral project was awarded the “top abstract” at the International Neuroscience Nursing Research Symposium. She led John Peter Smith
hospital’s initiative to gain recognition as an Age-Friendly Health System Participant. She is
currently serving as the coordinator for the NICHE Program, HELP, GEDA and the Joint
Commission-Disease Specific Certification for Geriatric Delirium.
Prior to nursing, Carmen taught at Tarrant County College, as an Anatomy & Physiology
instructor. Today, she serves as a clinical professor for Texas Christian University Harris College of Nursing; where she can couple her passion for both teaching and nursing.
