Dr. Benjamin Kalivas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Kalivas will be presenting an 18-month quality improvement (QI) project which included delirium screening using brief Confusion Assessment Method (bCAM) followed by implementing nursing care plan with the overall goal of reducing falls. He will use this as a guide to provide a practical approach to implementing delirium screening at other hospitals.
