The
Education Committee members are actively working on reviewing content for the upcoming resource being developed in collaboration with the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. This multi-media educational program entitled Age-Friendly Delirium Care: Protecting Vulnerable Patients will prepare a healthcare professional to earn a micro-credential in delirium care.
We have completed final edits for the first 4 modules. The remaining 15 modules will be our focus as they become available. Our committee members assisted in conference 2026 planning by reviewing presentation abstracts. We have also reviewed website content, adding additional resources as they become available.
Lastly, we have participated in the writing of a grant proposal to seek funding to translate 5 of our public facing educational documents into Spanish, Chinese and French. These include:
- Delirium Guide for Patients and Families
- Pediatric Delirium Guide for Patients and Families
- Understanding Delirium and Taking Action: A Guide for Adults and Care Partners in the Community
- Delirium in Palliative and End of Life Care: Information for Patients and Families
- It’s Delirium Not Dementia
If you would like to join this committee, we are always looking for active members to contribute their time and expertise. Please contact Tanya Mailhot t.tailhot@umontreal.ca or Christine Waszynski cwaszynski163@gmail.com for more information.
